Look Before You Leap

Throughout our lives we have in one form or another been told as it relates to making decisions, to be careful, to take our time, to make sure we had the facts, get as much information as possible before we make the final decision, in other words " Look before you leap". It seems to make good sense that before one signs on the dotted line, commits ones-self to an obligation of any kind that you take every precaution to insure you have done everything in your power to insure a positive outcome for yourself, not to needlessly put yourself in harms way.

I mean all the trouble we are in today with the, stock market crash, housing market collapse, worst recession since the Great Depression was as a result of people being wildly reckless, throwing caution to the wind, gambling with their futures, spending money they did not have. Never once thinking " Look before you leap"which resulted in a booming economy built on sand that when it began to crumble fell so quickly and so hard that it almost caused the total collapse of not only our economy but the worlds.

Considering all the trouble our economy has gone through as a result of all our transgressions you would expect Washington would now be the voice of reason, that our political leaders would pull together for the good of all, working to get our economy back on the right track by setting an example for fiscal restraint and responsibility, to counter the excesses of the past that caused our economic meltdown.

Unfortunately for all of us Washington looked at our very difficult times as an opportunity of a lifetime, a serendipitous convergence of events that they could and would exploit to further their own agenda.

No matter what your political affiliation I ask you to think about what is going on in Washington today, think about what would happen to you if you conducted business, managed your finances or your personal affairs as Washington has and is, especially at the accelerated unfettered rate they have so brazenly embraced. Ask yourself what would happen? Do what Washington is not, think about the long term ramifications of the massive untenable changes they have been making, many of which will have serious consequences for every one of us. Ask yourself, why the rush, why not be careful, why not " Look before your leap"

THAT WHICH YOU TOLERATE YOU ENCOURAGE!!

And So It Begins

I know what your thinking, why such a negative sounding name for a Blog, well as many of you have found out living your lives that it can often times feel like your living in a meat grinder, with no place for us to run, to hide, to avoid getting ground up into little pieces by the Meat Grinder. It doesnt matter when you lived or where because all through human history there are stories of Meat Grinders of some form or another, whether its called The Plague, Dark Ages, Crusades, The Inquisition, Holocaust, Genocide, Great Depression, Recession, Tech Bubble, Housing Bubble, Terrorism, the fact remains " Its always something" just when you think you made it out, it grabs you and pulls you back into the Meat Grinder. This is just a fact of life, no getting around it, no matter whether your rich, poor, famous, unknown, successful or not, blue blood, commoner, considered the right religion or the wrong religion, if your race is black, white, yellow, red, conservative, liberal, moderate, communist, socialist, fat, skinny, tall, short, need I go on, you get the idea. The point is sooner or later everyone gets their turn in the Meat Grinder, some get to go through the Meat Grinder more then once, that may not be fair buts it life, nowhere does it say life is fair and thats the point of this blog, everybody has there own Meat Grinder story to share. Their trials and tribulations, their successes and failures, their hopes and dreams, the realization that they have run out of time, that its over. This blog will be about anything and everything that has to do with living life knowing full well that there was or is a Meat Grinder somewhere with your name on it, its just a fact of life, maybe talking about it will help you deal with it so you can get on living your life, because there are no do overs.
